Where The Wild Things Are by Martin Lucas
You simply must go visit Bobbins & Whimsy. Jenny Carver has a serious talent and you are missing out if you haven’t been there yet. It’s a sewing blog for all kinds of people. People who sew, people who don’t, people who like cats, people who enjoy humorous writings, and even people who just enjoy an awesome blog header (hint-hint).
Anyway, I hope you enjoy these few shots from our shoot the other day. It was quite an adventure. Complete with Insects, a tornado warning, a treacherous creek-crossing and what we think was poison ivy ( is it “leaves of three, there we be”?)
Jenny Carver and Noelle Haines modeled original clothing made by Jenny.
here are a couple of shots from the first ever Bobbins & Whimsy shoot. Go check out Jenny’s site. It’s a rad sewing blog, and I was lucky enough to design the header for it! And now I get to do the official photography as well!

(500) Days Of Summer by William Henry
Goodbye, Maurice, id of children, uncompromisingly beautiful, strange, mean, sweet, deep, dark, and true.
Via “N222011,” this is from “Tell Them Anything You Want,” a beautiful film by Lance Bangs and Spike Jonze.
(Double-heart-rendingly, it was and is distributed by Adam Yauch’s company Oscilloscope.)
That is all.
Watch it. Just do.

Drawn: Maurice Sendak on his life and work
I posted a YouTube video earlier today of Tell Them Anything You Want, a 40-minute documentary on Maurice Sendak who died earlier today. The video has been taken down, but not before I managed to transcribe the author and illustrator’s parting thoughts on his work and life:
I did some…
Real talk
I just cried while listening to There She Goes by the La’s. How do I react to this?
